Why? Big Island, Hawaii does not have any mosque or graveyard for the local Muslim community or 1000s of Muslim Tourists
Project Goals? Establish a place of worship, religious schools (learning center), facilities for sacrifice, cemeteries, facilities for washing and shrouding dead bodies, and other activities. Spread Islam in Hawaii and Pacific Islands.

Current Projects?
We would like to inform you that the IRS has accepted the Islamic Center of Hawaii exempt under section 501(c)(3). This is a great advantage for the USA donors since they would be able to deduct tax contributions and receive HUGE Tax benefits under the IRC Section 170. We are also qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devices, or gifts. We are classified as a public charity.
Now, we will be able to collect donations, build a mosque, serve our community, etc. legally. Donors will be able to claim their Tax-deductible contributions starting from September 3, 2014. Please let me know if you need our assistance to claim the Tax benefits.
Currently, we are seeking contributions to the following categories.
- Islamic Center (Mosque) building project
- Social welfare (e.g. assist newly converted or poor Muslims)-Zakat allowed
- Build a Muslim Graveyard
- General Expenses such as rent, utility, food, etc.
